♡Steps to Clean Your Oven:♡
1. ♡Preparation:♡
- ☆Turn Off the Oven:☆ Ensure the oven is completely cool and turned off.
- ☆Remove Oven Racks:☆ Take out the oven racks and any other removable parts.
2. ♡Make a Cleaning Paste:♡
- In a bowl, mix about 1 cup of baking soda with a few tablespoons of water to create a thick paste. Adjust the consistency as needed.
3. ☆Apply the Paste:☆
- Spread the baking soda paste all over the interior surfaces of the oven, avoiding the heating elements. Pay special attention to any greasy or stained areas.
- Let the paste sit for at least 12 hours or overnight for best results.
4. ♡Clean the Oven Racks:♡
- While the oven is soaking, clean the racks. You can soak them in hot, soapy water for a few hours, then scrub with a sponge or brush. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
5. ♡Wipe Down the Oven:♡
- After the paste has set, use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe out the baking soda. You may need to use a plastic spatula to gently scrape off any stubborn spots.
6. ♡Use Vinegar:♡
- Fill a spray bottle with vinegar and spray it inside the oven where you applied the baking soda. The vinegar will react with the baking soda, creating a foamy mixture that helps lift grime.
- Wipe down the surfaces again with a damp cloth or sponge.
7. ♡Final Rinse:♡
- Use a clean, damp cloth to wipe down the oven one last time to remove any remaining residue.
8. ☆Clean the Oven Door:☆
- For the oven door, you can use the same baking soda paste or a glass cleaner. Wipe it down with a soft cloth.
9. ☆Reassemble:☆
- Once everything is clean and dry, replace the oven racks and any other parts you removed.
☆☆☆10. ☆Regular Maintenance:☆☆▪︎
- To keep your oven clean, consider wiping it down after each use and doing a deep clean every few months.
》Tips:《
- ♡Avoid Harsh Chemicals:♡ If you prefer not to use baking soda and vinegar, you can use a commercial oven cleaner like Easy Off Heavy Duty Oven Cleaner ( I use this one), but be sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions and ensure proper ventilation.
Extra Tip♡
1. The commercialOven cleaner can also be used on the stove top if it has a lot of burned on food.
2. After you sprayed the oven cleaner on the surface, add a layer of cling wrap paper on top of the stovetop. That way the cleaner does nor dry out.
Let it sit for a few hours like that. Then carefully remove the cling wrap.
Use a non scratch damp sponge and start cleaning the stovetop off. Use a plastic scrapercto remove stubborn spots.
If the dirt does not come by the first time leave the cleaner and the cling wrap work the magic over nigh.
- ♡Safety First:♡ Always wear Cleaning Rubber Gloves if you have sensitive skin, and ensure the area is well-ventilated.
By following these steps, you can keep your oven clean and in good working condition!
